So, I just finished playing an INCREDIBLY awesome game! It's for the DS, and it's called 'Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective'.
It was done by the same guy who did the superb Ace Attorney series of games, so theres a great plot, clever twists, challenging puzzles and gameplay, and all the good stuff you'd want from a DS game.
Helll, I liked the plot so much, I HAVE to talk about it! But don't worry, I'll spoil tag it all so you can still enjoy it for yourself.

You play as a *Spoiler* named *Spoiler* who wakes up *Spoiler* in a *Spoiler* with a *Spoiler* and *Spoiler* standing over his *Spoiler*. He has *Spoiler* that allow him to *Spoiler* and *Spoiler* thanks to *Spoiler* *Spoiler* *Spoiler* and *Spoiler*.
You need to find out who *Spoiler* *Spoiler* and also *Spoiler* in *Spoiler* *Spoiler* before you *Spoiler* !
over the game, you find out that you *Spoiler* *Spoiler* *Spoiler* and *Spoiler* *Spoiler* who you *Spoiler* was *Spoiler* is actually *Spoiler* and *Spoiler* *Spoiler* *Spoiler* *Spoiler* all *Spoiler* *Spoiler*

Is it just me, or are the Pokemon Team names getting worse and worse?

I mean, sure, they weren't that great to begin iwth, but just hear me out...

First, there was Good Ol' Team Rocket, which i still love, even today (If I ever find a Pokemon BYOND game that isn't abandoned, I'm so gonna dedicate myself to Team Rocket on it...).
And then there was Magma and Aqua, the two opposing teams, which was a neat idea, Hell, even Galactic was pretty cool, despite the Bowlcuts.

However, in Pokemon Ranger...Team Go-Rock...
What the hell kinda name is that? Plus, why do they all look like the Super Nerd from the Original Games? Not really very imposing Nintendo...
Then, there was team Dim Sun...an okay name, but tell me the truth...you first read that as Dim Sim, didn't you? All coolness just vanishes in the blink of an eye.

And now, in the next Ranger game...The Pokemon Pinchers...Just Shoot me now...


Oh, also, why do you always live with your Mother in the games? Our character's only seen a father once over the whole series, so where the hell are they?
To counter this, I think Black & White should have you living with your Father...and maybe your Mother is part of the Elite Four!
It was cool having your Dad as a Gym Leader in R/S/E, so why not take it another step?

Okay, everyone here knows I love fanfics, right?
Well, I'm going to share something with you readers; Being the nice guy I am, I've always thought that even those who write bad fanfiction aren't necessarily bad writers, they just need some more practice, and that if they keep up with it, they can get good.

Then, during my daily trip to thatguywiththeglasses.com, I stumbled upon Sage's Fanfic Theatre, and after enjoying a good chuckle at some of the Fics he reads, (Especially when he tries to do the voices, though he does do a scarily good Spoony impression...) I discovered a Harry Potter fanfic on there called 'My Immortal'

Now, remember my words before about how there are no bad Fanfic writers?


I WAS FUCKING WRONG!!!

This is by far, the WORST piece of shit I have ever made the mistake of reading! It pisses all over the Harry Potter continuity, the OC's are blatant self-insertions, as well as Mary Sues, and the Characters are so far out of character, they're close to completly looping back around!
The story actively seems to promote Gothicness and Satanism (Which kinda makes sense as I'm pretty sure this could be the Anti-Bible...)
and even has the nerve to use Vampires all the fucking time! Vampires! Like they didn't get enough of a beating in the Twilight Saga, they're used here too?!!

Now, I'm sure you think I'm being a bit of an Asshole, and well, I probably am, but still, read the first part of this, and you TELL me I'm wrong!



Done? Yeah, it's REALLY bad...
Now, to be entirely honest, I don't think there are any Goth's in Kalgoorlie. (Not because we're smarter then that, hell no, but more because would you really want to wear all that Sun-Absorbing leather and black in a desert? You'd be found dead of heatstroke in less then a week!)
And the few I saw when I was in a City? They seemed okay, bit shady, but they never hurt anyone.

...After reading this, I swear, I am going to have to fight the urge to not kick the first Goth I see next time I'm in Perth in the balls, screaming something along the lines of 'THIS IS FOR HARRY POTTER, YOU BASTARD!'

...Actually, that would be worth getting arrested for, can you imagine the news headline?

Wait, crap, I'm getting off topic...anyway, simply put, this story is bad, it's terrible, it's horrific, If I ever ended up stepping into Silent Hill, all the Creatures and Puzzles would be ALL based off of this damn fiction from how much it has scarred my psyche!
And you know what? I haven't even watched the other three parts yet! And I'm gonna! Why? Because I'm just a glutton for punishment. Sy, in case I don't make it back, I want you to know you're my best friend, and that I love you.

Well, this has been a pretty depressing week...
Want to know why? Well, I'll start off small and work my way up to the big things...
First off, I played Star Trek Online, and being a huge trekkie, I was expectig something awesome...and I was sorely disappointed...
While in some ways, they have their Star Trek trivia down to a key, the gameplay is slow, and it really dosn't suck you in during when you start it, which is something it should be aiming for to keep you playing it!
Worst part about that was that I actually went and formatted my computer to fix a bug on it that was keeping me from playing it, because I was so certain it would be good.
Now I'm searching for drivers I'm missing, and other shit...

Also, some Sad News...our family Dog, Chelsea, passed away recently.
She's been very sick for Months, and my Mum and Dad had been talking about getting her put down for ages, but they decided to do it while I was at my Work Experience Job at Leading Edge Video, so I didn't even get to say goodbye.
Jeez...I can't remember a time we haven't had that Brainless Collie around...I'm gonna miss her...

Well, I'm back from Wai-Con, and what a weekend it's been...
I wish I could show you some pictures, but nearly all of mine turned out crap, so I'm hoping my Brother has a few good ones taken that he'll send up to me...if so, I'll put them here for you to see along with the few of mine that were decent.
Otherwise, I need a rest...I'm choofed after this busy week...
